NOTE The needle bearing 16 (Fig. 3.2.37) installed only on vehicles with manual transmission and is pressed into the hole in the end of the crankshaft. When assembling the sealing rings 3, 24 and spacers 17, 20, 22 must be replaced. Before removing the back cover is required to remove the oil pan. |
Replacing the front cuff of the crankshaft is done with the engine mounted on the vehicle. Remove the timing belt.

Remove the spacer sleeve 2 and 1 toothed belt pulley.

To remove the front seal, use puller 3203 (Fig. 3.2.39). Remove the inside of the puller six turns of the outer part of the stripper rigidly fix both parts. Install the puller on the crankshaft and strongly pressing, screw it into the sealing sleeve. Loosen fixing parts puller and turning the inside of the puller, remove the cuff. Remove the collar with a stripper. Clean the installation location of the seal. Apply engine oil to sealing lip and an outer surface of the new seal before installing it in place.

Using the mandrel 3265 (Fig. 3.2.40), set the seal of the crankshaft and using a pulley bolt to press-fit the sleeve into the groove. Install the timing belt pulley of the crankshaft 1 (see. Fig. 3.2.38), spacer sleeve 2 and screw a new bolt of fastening of a pulley 3.
A WARNING On the bearing surface between the pulley and the crankshaft and on the pulley bolt of grease. When you install a new bolt, replace the crankshaft pulley. |
Install the timing belt.
