Refitting

Toothed belt
Fig. 3.2.26. Toothed belt: 1 - a bolt, 10 Nm; 2 - bolt 10 Nm; 3 - a washer; 4 - bolt 22 Nm; 5 - tensioner arm; 6 - a sealing ring; 7 - bolt 22 Nm; 8 - bolt 55 Nm; 9 - washer; 10 - fixing plate; 11 - Right toothed belt pulley; 12 - washer; 13 - bolt 10 Nm; 14 - bolt 10 Nm; 15 - Right back casing of a gear belt; 16 - bolt 10 Nm; 17 - the water pump; 18 - a lining; 19 - rear left casing of a gear belt; 20 - left toothed belt pulley; 21 - fixing plate; 22 - a gear belt; 23 - bolt 55 Nm; 24 - the guide roller; 25 - a pulley of a gear belt of a cranked shaft; 26 - a tension roller; 27 - bolt 40 Nm; 28 - bolt 200 Nm and tighten 180 ?; 29 - tensioner; 30 - casing of a gear belt

Replace the timing belt (Fig. 3.2.26) should be carried out taking into account the following.
1. Installation of the bolt 2 (see. Fig. 3.2.26) on the thread of the bolt must be applied to the fixing means D 000 600 A2.
2. In case of damage O-ring 6, replace it.
3. Inscription ?rear / hinten? on the fixing plates 10 and 21 should be sent back.
4. To remove a pulley of a gear belt from a camshaft needs puller T40001.
5. If you need to replace the gasket assembly 18 and a new bolt 28.
6. On the abutment surface between the toothed belt pulley and the crankshaft of grease. Installing the pulley is only possible in one position.
7. When the installation is not allowed grease bolt 28 oil.
Replacement of the toothed belt is carried out with the engine mounted in the vehicle.

A WARNING
Chalk, markers or paint mark the direction of rotation of the toothed belt. After setting the belt rotates in the opposite direction, which may result in its destruction.

Location screws engine cover
Fig. 3.2.1. Location screws engine cover

Remove the four screws and remove the engine cover (Fig. 3.2.1).

Location screws bottom mudguard of a motor compartment
Fig. 3.2.2. Location screws bottom mudguard of a motor compartment

Remove the screws indicated by arrows in Fig. 3.2.2, and remove the bottom mudguard of a motor compartment.
Remove the front bumper.
Install the front transverse panel in service position (see. "Body").
Remove ribbed belt.
Remove V-ribbed belt tensioner.

Vehicles with exhaust gas recirculation

Connection to the connecting hose pipe EGR
Fig. 3.2.27. Connection to the connecting hose pipe EGR

Disconnect the hose from the pipe connecting the EGR (Fig. 3.2.27).

All models
Remove the left and right casings of a gear belt.
Turning the crankshaft in the direction of its working rotation of the pulley bolt, install the piston of the first cylinder in the top dead center (TDC).

Combining marks on the crankshaft pulley (B) with a pointer (A) to the housing
Fig. 3.2.28. Combining marks on the crankshaft pulley (B) with a pointer (A) to the housing

Make sure that the mark on the crankshaft pulley is aligned with the pointer on the housing (Fig. 3.2.28).

Location large holes fixing plates on pulleys of camshafts
Fig. 3.2.29. Location large holes fixing plates on pulleys of camshafts

Check the position of the toothed belt pulleys of camshafts. When installing the first cylinder to TDC in the compression stroke large holes fixing plates on the camshaft pulleys must be directed towards each other (arrow in Fig. 3.2.29). Otherwise, turn the crankshaft one turn.

Set screw 3242 for fixing the crankshaft
Fig. 3.2.30. Set screw 3242 for fixing the crankshaft

Secure crankshaft in this position. To lock the crankshaft remove the crankshaft position sensor of the cylinder instead of the sensor and screw the set screw 3242 (Fig. 3.2.30).
Remove the eight bolts and remove a pulley-damper.

Location bolts guide roller V-ribbed belt and the bottom casing of a gear belt
Fig. 3.2.31. Location bolts guide roller V-ribbed belt and the bottom casing of a gear belt

Turn out bolts and remove an arm of the radiator fan and the bottom casing of a gear belt (Fig. 3.2.31).

Using a special device 3036 (1) for fixing the camshaft pulley from turning
Fig. 3.2.32. Using a special device 3036 (1) for fixing the camshaft pulley from turning

Alternately, using a special device 3036 (Fig. 3.2.32), lock the camshaft pulley from turning and remove the three turns, but do not remove the bolt camshaft pulley.

Use puller T40001 (1) for the removal of a pulley of a gear belt from a camshaft
Fig. 3.2.33. Use puller T40001 (1) for the removal of a pulley of a gear belt from a camshaft

Using puller T40001 (Fig. 3.2.33), remove both camshaft pulleys to their number of cones. When removing the pulley puller should rest on the bolts camshaft pulleys. Camshaft pulleys should rotate freely but not have excessive play in the assembly cone.

The weakening of the tension of the toothed belt
Fig. 3.2.34. The weakening of the tension of the toothed belt 1 - Timing belt tensioner pulley; 2 - tensioner arm, 3 - tensioner

Loosen the timing belt, which Allen key 8 mm slowly rotate clockwise roller 1 (Fig. 3.2.34) the timing belt tensioner to align the holes in the stock and housing natyazhitelya.V this position, insert a steel rod into the holes of 2 mm diameter.
Remove the timing belt.

Location toothed belt on the motor pulley

WARNINGS
1. Do not turn the crankshaft of the engine at the removed gear belt, otherwise the pistons may hit the valves.
2. Do not twist or bend a gear belt. Exclude hit on a toothed belt oil, coolant or fuel.
3. If there vykroshivanie tooth gear belt may jammed water pump, oil pump or camshaft.
4. The gap toothed belt with the engine running can cause valves to strike the pistons, causing the valves can become deformed.
5. Check the valve clearances. In the deformed valves they are much more required.
6. If the outer surface of the toothed belt is significantly worn or stratified, check the condition of the pulleys.
If wear or damage are found only on one side of the belt, check the guide toothed belt and pulley parallelism of the toothed belt.
If you find any defects toothed belt replace it with new.
7. Replace the engine timing belt pulleys, starting with the crankshaft pulley and ending with the tensioner pulley. Previously filmed belt installed in accordance with applied labels (Fig. 2.3.35).

Locking the 3391, retaining the camshaft pulleys
Fig. 3.2.36. Locking the 3391, retaining the camshaft pulleys

Install the special retainer 3391 (Fig. 3.2.36), holding the camshaft pulleys.
Tighten the timing belt, which Allen key 8 mm slowly rotate clockwise roller 1 (see. Fig. 3.2.34) the timing belt tensioner and remove the steel rod with a diameter of 2 mm from the tensioner.
Set the torque wrench into the slot tensioner and turn the key in the direction of tension of a gear belt, to a torque of 15 Nm. This will provide the desired tension the timing belt.
Pre-tighten the bolts camshaft pulleys torque 30 Nm.
Remove tool 3391 fixing the camshaft pulleys.
Finally tighten the bolts camshaft pulley to 55 Nm.
Install the pulley-damper.
Remove the set screw 3242, holding the crankshaft from turning. Replace the crankshaft position sensor with a new seal.
Install poly V-belt.
Install radiator fan with viscous coupling.
