Withdrawal

Before removing the drive shafts towels close all the sharp edges around the drive shaft, which covers provide protection from damage.

When removing the drive shaft being careful not to stretch the constant velocity joint, as this can occur separation of internal components and possible joint damage. CV joints and a protective cover must be protected when working with the drive shafts or near them.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the front wheel.
  1. Remove the cotter pin, remove the castellated nut and washer securing the drive shaft to the front wheel hub.
  1. Remove the cotter pin and loosen the nut trunnion ball joint tie rod to the steering knuckle. 09568-34000 stripper squeeze out a pin of the ball joint from the knuckle.

Secure the cord puller for the next element of the car.

  1. Remove the caliper and a soft wire fix it on the front rack.
  1. Dial indicator, measure runout and axial clearance of front wheel hub.
  1. Puller 09568-34000 disconnect the ball joint of the lower arm from the steering knuckle.
  1. Remove the speed sensor from the steering knuckle.
  1. Note the position and turn the bolts of the front lower arm to knuckle.
  2. Kapron hammer beat out a power shaft from the front wheel hub. If the drive shaft is firmly seated in the hub of the front wheel, spray impregnation spray solvent on the area of the splines and then re-screw the nut with flange so that it is flush with the end of the shaft. Striking on a nut a brass hammer, beat out a power shaft from a nave.
  3. Remove the knuckle with the hub of the front wheel.

Dismantling

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the two screws and remove the brake disc from the front hub.
  1. Remove the retaining ring.
  1. Install special tools 09517-29000, 09517-21500, as shown in the figure.
  1. Turn the special tool, remove the front wheel hub from the knuckle.
  2. Remove the special tool and a dust ring.
  1. The special tool 09495-33000, 09551-31000, remove the inner ring of the bearing from a nave.
  1. Special tool 09495 - 33100, 09517-29000, remove the outer ring of the bearing from the steering knuckle.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check hub for cracks and wear.
  2. Check the brake disc for the development and damage.
  3. Check the knuckle for cracks.
  4. Check the bearing for cracks or damage.

Assembly

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Apply a thin layer of grease into the hole on the steering knuckle and the outer ring of the bearing.
  1. A press with a mandrel of appropriate diameter 09495-33100 press in a new bearing wheels.
  • Do not force the press to the inner ring of the bearing.
  • When installing, always use a new bearing.
  1. Install the snap ring in the groove of the knuckle.
  2. Install the dust ring.

  1. 09495-33100 press mandrel of appropriate diameter hub in the press in the wheel bearing.

Do not force the press to the outer ring of the bearing.

  1. Install the brake shield.
  1. The special tool 09517-21500 tighten the hub to knuckle by tightening the bolt torque tools 200-260 N ??? m.
  1. Several times turn the hub to the bearing elements established in its place.
  1. Measure the torque which must be applied for the rotation of the bearing. Torque: not more than 1.8 N ??? m.
  1. If the torque N ??? m 0, measure the axial play of the bearing hub.
  1. If the torque exceeds the desired value, it means that the bearing is not properly installed in the knuckle and the hub. Dismantle the steering knuckle and reassemble it. Axial bearing play: no more than 0.008 mm.
  1. Remove the special tool 09517-21500.
