Rear strut



Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Fold the rear seat.
  1. Remove the three nuts of the top fastening of a back rack.
  1. Remove the rear wheel.
  2. Remove the rack from the rear brake line and the wheel speed sensor.
  3. Disconnect draft stabilizer bar.
  1. Unscrew the nuts and remove the bolts attaching the stand to the fixing element of the rear axle.

Be careful not to damage the rear strut.

  1. Remove the rack from under the wing of the car.

Dismantling

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Specially adapted J38402, - 20 and - 50 compress a spring strut rear suspension.

For the spring, use only reliable tool.

  1. Remove the self-locking nut on the top of the damper rod.
  2. Remove the support strut, coil spring and dust cover.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check the rack support for wear or damage.
  2. Check the rubber parts for damage or deterioration in their condition.
  3. Check the coil spring in the absence of depression and loss of elasticity.
  1. Check for the presence of abnormal shock resistance or ambient noise (see. Strut front suspension).

Assembly

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Install the lower spring seat so that its tabs into the holes in the spring plate.
  2. Replace the shock absorber dust cover.
  3. Specially adapted J38402, -20 and -50 compress the coil spring rear strut.
  4. After a complete spring set it to shock.

Align the D-hole in the upper spring seat with the flats on the damper rod.

  1. Position the upper and lower ends of the coil spring, setting them in the recess, and screw the self-locking nut, but do not tighten it completely.

When assembling the need to use new self-locking nut.

  1. Place the spring seat bolt to align the projection pads as shown in the figure.

The fingerprint of the spring must be placed at the bottom.

  1. Remove the device J38402, -20 and -40 for the spring.
  2. Tighten the self-locking nut required torque. Tightening torque: 40-55 Nm.

Setting

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal.

After installation, check the angles of the rear wheels.
