PCV
Removal, check and installation of the valve PCV Disconnect the ventilation hose from the positive crankcase ventilation valve. Remove the valve from the cylinder head cover and connect it to the air hose.
Start the engine and let it run at idle. Close the finger valve hole and make sure that there is the presence of vacuum from the intake manifold (Fig. 2.219).
NOTE At this point the valve plug PCV will move back and forth. |
Check Remove the PCV valve. Insert a thin rod into the PCV valve from the threaded portion and moving the rod back and forth, you should check that the plunger moves.
If the plunger does not move, the valve PCV has deposits (Fig. 2.220). In this case, clean or replace the valve.
Setting Install the PCV valve and tighten it to the specified torque. Tightening torque PCV valve: 8-12 Nm.
