The system EVAP
Checking system EVAP
Disconnect the vacuum hose from the throttle body and connect to a vacuum hose manual vacuum pump. Check the vacuum in the said conditions of the engine when the engine is cold (coolant temperature of 60 ? C or below) when the engine (coolant temperature of 80 ? C or above).
Check adsorber Check piping system EVAP for loose connections, sharp bends or damage. Check for deformation, cracks and leaks of fuel.
After removal of the canister, check for cracks and deformations (Fig. 2.224). Check purge solenoid valve
NOTE When disconnecting the vacuum hose is always pre-coated with the timing marks to when connecting hoses were installed in its original position. |
Disconnect the vacuum hose from the canister bleed solenoid valve. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the solenoid valve. Connect a hand vacuum pump to the fitting of the solenoid valve, which has been disconnected hose with a red stripe.
