Removal and installation of the main silencer

ATTENTION Before starting operations remove or check the components of the exhaust system to make sure they are cooled enough. |
Remove the silencer from the central pipe of the exhaust system (Fig. 2.275).
Remove the central tube of the exhaust system (with front-silencer) from the front exhaust pipe of the exhaust system on the one hand and on the other of the main silencer. Remove the rubber brackets, and then remove the central pipe of the exhaust system (with front-silencer). Remove the bracket bolts a reception pipe of the exhaust system and disconnect a reception pipe from the catalytic converter. Unscrew the front exhaust pipe of the exhaust system to the central exhaust pipe (with front-silencer).
Setting Install the components of the exhaust system in the following order: first the exhaust pipe of the exhaust system, then the central exhaust pipe and silencer. Temporarily tighten the mounting components of the exhaust system. Tighten the mounting components of the exhaust system. Check for the contact components of the exhaust system with any parts of the car body.
