Check

Camshafts

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check the neck of camshafts in the absence of uneven wear, cracks or damage.

2. The two points to measure the height of each cam of the camshaft.

  • The nominal height of the cams of the camshaft operating inlet valves: 43,95-44,15 mm
  • The nominal height of the camshaft operating final valves: 43,95-44,15 mm
  • Minimum permissible height of the cams of the camshaft operating inlet valves: 43.45 mm
  • Minimum permissible height of the camshaft operating final valves: 43.45 mm

3. Check out the contours of the cams of camshafts for wear or damage.
4. Check each bearing damage. If the working surface of the bearing is damaged, replace the cylinder head or the camshaft bearing cap.

Axial backlash of a camshaft: 0.1-0.15 mm

Front oil seal Camshaft

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check the front oil seal for wear or damage working edges and, if necessary, replace it.
2. Check sealing lip in contact with the surface of the camshaft. If the seal is worn evenly, replace the camshaft.

Chain guide

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check the chain guide in the absence of bending cracks or damage. If necessary, replace the chain guide.

2. Check the rubber part of the chain guide in the absence of abnormal wear. If necessary, replace the chain guide.

Chain

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Check the circuit for uneven wear, cracks or damage and, if you have a lot of wear, replace it.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Install the hydraulic jacks of backlashes of valves.

2. Place the chain on the sprocket camshaft aligning the timing marks as shown in the figure.

3. Before installation, apply a thin coat of clean engine oil to all sliding surfaces of camshafts. Install camshafts.

4. Install the camshaft bearing caps. Check the identification label defining camshafts intake or exhaust valves.

  • Inlet camshaft: I
  • Exhaust camshaft: E

5. Tighten the bearing cap torques in accordance with the specification.

Torque: 14-15 N ??? m

6. Apply engine oil working edges and an outer surface of the sealing ring and install the special tool 09221-21000 oil sealing ring at the front of the camshaft.

Hammer blows on specially adapted set O-ring all the way into the slot.

7. Tighten stars torques in accordance with the specification.

Torque: 90-110 N ??? m

8. Install the cylinder head cover and tighten the screws torques in accordance with the specification.

Tightening torque: 5-6 N ??? m

  • Tighten all bolts torque time (half the time given in the specifications), in the sequence shown in the figure.
  • Tighten all bolts to the torque given in the specification.

9. Install the high-voltage wires and center cover.

10. Install the timing belt tensioner and tighten the toothed belt.

11. Replace the timing belt covers.
12. Install the water pump pulley, crankshaft pulley and the pulley belt drive mechanism mounted units.
13. Install the intake manifold and the engine cover.
