Removing and installing engine and gearbox

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the battery.
2. Remove the air filter.
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the reverse gear switch and the engine wiring harness.
4. On vehicles with manual five-speed gearbox, disconnect the electrical connector from the control valve selection.

5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the generator and the oil pressure sensor.

6. Drain the coolant.
7. On vehicles with automatic transmission disconnect hoses gearbox oil cooler.

Label the hose before removing to avoid confusion when re-joining.

Be careful to avoid transmission fluid drained from the hoses. To eliminate the dirt close the ends of the hose plugs.

8. Remove the upper and lower hoses from the radiator and remove the radiator.

9. Disconnect the motor wire connection with "weight".
10. Disconnect the vacuum hose of the vacuum brake booster.

11. Disconnect hoses from the engine and fuel return.

Gasoline is extremely flammable, when working with elements of the fuel system is forbidden the use of fire, sparking devices open by fire-dangerous light devices and smoking. Avoid sparking when handling cables and electrical devices.

12. Remove the coolant hoses going to a heater.
13. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the engine.
14. On vehicles with manual five-speed transmission disconnect clutch cable from the transmission housing.
15. On vehicles with automatic transmission disconnect a cable transmission control.
16. On vehicles with manual five-speed transmission disconnect traction gear selection.

17. Disconnect the gearbox connector vehicle speed sensor.

18. Separate the steering shaft from the steering gear.

19. Remove the engine support.

20. Remove the gearbox support.

21. After removing the wheel, the wheel speed sensor and the caliper, remove the lower portion of the knuckle on the rack, then separate the spherical rod end from the steering knuckle.

22. Raise the vehicle.

23. Drain the oil from the gearbox.

24. Remove the front exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold.

Soft wire fix the exhaust pipe to the vehicle floor.

25. Install the lift under the bottom frame.

Check that the engine and disconnect the electrical connectors, hoses, pipes and wiring harnesses.

26. Remove the bottom of the frame is carried out with the engine, transmission, steering gear and drive shafts. 6 Remove the bolts of the lower frame and slowly lift the car.

27. Remove the steering gear and hang the engine and gearbox on the lift, then separate the engine and transmission from the bottom of the frame. By separating the engine and gearbox from the bottom of the frame, remove the motor mount bracket and the gearbox, then raise the lift.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. When installing the engine and gearbox to the car make sure that it is not damaged or does not pinch the hoses, wiring harnesses, pipes and electrical connectors.

2. Install engine and gearbox on the lower frame and secure the front and rear support between the bottom of the frame, the engine and gearbox.

Be especially careful when installing the front engine mounts that it is not damaged by excessive vibration during engine operation.

3. Set the engine, gearbox and lower frame in the reverse order of removal.

4. Fill in cooling liquid in cooling system and check for leaks.
5. Pour the oil in the gearbox and check for leaks.
6. Check the gearshift linkage and accelerator cable.
7. Check the operation of all sensors.
