Installing the camshaft



Set camshafts, wherein the piston cylinder ?��1 must be set to TDC of the compression stroke.

Tighten the camshaft bearing cap in two steps (Fig. 2.187).
Tighten to 5.0-9.0 Nm.
Tighten up 14.0-17,0 Nm.

Instructions for assembling the camshaft sprocket, the actuator variable valve timing (L3 with variable valve timing mechanism).
Bolt of an asterisk of a camshaft actuator, or variable valve timing (L3 with variable valve timing mechanism) is temporary, prior to installing the timing chain drive, screwed manually.

The connecting bolt of an asterisk of a camshaft actuator, or variable valve timing (L3 with variable valve timing mechanism) after installing timing chain drive is mounted on the adhesive (Fig. 2.188).
Tightening torque: 69-75 Nm.
