Check and adjust the engine speed of the engine idling

Because diesel engines have no ignition system requires a special tachometer. However, its purchase is not justified, since it is quite expensive. Warm up the engine to operating temperature, coolant temperature should be at least +80 ? C.
Turn off all electrical consumers (radio, lighting). With the engine running at idle speed with the parking brake.
Measure the rotational speed of the crankshaft of the engine idling, which must be:
- (825 ? 25) min -1 Engine RF;
- (725 + 25) min -1 Engine RF-N.

Location locknut and screw adjustment of the speed of the crankshaft of the engine idling RF-N
Fig. 4.24. Location locknut and screw adjustment of the speed of the crankshaft of the engine idling RF-N

If the speed of the crankshaft of the engine idling does not match the required, loosen the locknut and turn the adjusting screw to adjust the speed (Fig. 4.24). After adjustment, tighten the lock nut.

A WARNING
If the engine speed of the engine at idle speed can not be adjusted, refer to the service station Mazda or Bosch.
