Removing and installing toothed belt / installation of the engine camshaft RF

Adjusting the timing should be carried out after the repair work, which was filmed at the toothed belt or disassemble the engine. When checking the setting the timing should perform all operations, except for replacing the timing belt.

A WARNING
When you disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery is erased the memory of electronic storage devices such as memory of malfunctions of the engine or the radio code.

Front toothed belt
Withdrawal
Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Lift the car and remove the right front wheel.
Remove the bottom engine cover on the right wheel arch.
Remove the V-belt.

Removing the crankshaft pulley
Fig. 4.2. Removing the crankshaft pulley

Secure crankshaft from turning and remove the bolts of the crankshaft pulley (Fig. 4.2).
To lock the engine include 5th transfer and the assistant should press on the brake pedal.
Remove the spark plugs. For cranking the engine and apply the parking brake, set the gear lever to the neutral position. With ratchet and head cranked shaft from the right-hand wheel arch.

Removing the damper motor

Remove the right and left casings of a gear belt (Fig. 4.4).

The combination of the label (1) on the pulley of the toothed belt with the mark (2) on the rear casing when installing the first cylinder piston TDC in the compression stroke
Fig. 4.5. The combination of the label (1) on the pulley of the toothed belt with the mark (2) on the rear casing when installing the first cylinder piston TDC in the compression stroke

Set the first cylinder to TDC in the compression stroke. To do this, turn the crankshaft to align the mark on the camshaft pulley with a label on the back casing of a gear belt (Fig. 4.5).

A WARNING
In no case did not turn a cranked shaft of the camshaft pulley through a belt drive.

The direction of the deviation of the tension roller to loosen the tension of a gear belt
Fig. 4.6. The direction of the deviation of the tension roller to loosen the tension of a gear belt

Loosen the bolt tensioning pulley with a screwdriver and press tensioning pulley of the toothed belt (Fig. 4.6). After loosening the toothed belt tension, retighten the bolt tensioning pulley.
Chalk, markers or paint, mark the direction of rotation of the toothed belt. If the installation of the toothed belt is rotated in the other direction, it will lead to its destruction. Motor pulley rotates clockwise.
Remove the timing belt. After removal of the timing belt pulleys do not turn.
If you want to rotate the camshaft, pistons are pre-set in the middle of all of their travel. To do this, put a chalk mark on top of the crankshaft pulley with the crankshaft must be in the TDC position of first cylinder, then turn the crankshaft pulley 1/4 turn (90 ?) to the left or right. Now, the label must be directed to the left or right.

WARNINGS
Before removing the toothed belt again to check that the mark on the camshaft pulley to the edge of the cylinder head, and if necessary, adjust the position of the pulleys.
If it is necessary to crank the camshaft when removing the toothed belt, none of the piston must be in the TDC, as might otherwise be severely damaged pistons and valves.
Do not bend or fold the toothed belt. Always replace contaminated, damaged or worn belts. Check the uniformity and ease of rotation of the tensioning pulley.

Setting

Combining marks (1) on the crankshaft pulley with the mark on the front cover of the cylinder
Fig. 4.7. Combining marks (1) on the crankshaft pulley with the mark on the front cover of the cylinder

Make sure that the mark on the crankshaft pulley coincides with the mark on the front cover of the cylinder block (Fig. 4.7), and the mark on the camshaft pulley coincides with the mark on the back casing of a gear belt. If necessary, turn the pulley to align all the labels.
Install the timing belt pulleys. Old belt mapped in accordance with the previously applied by the arrow indicating the direction of rotation of the belt.

A WARNING
Make sure that the belt pulleys are well covered and do not sag.

Adjust the belt tension
Loosen the bolt tension roller so that the roller can move to a gear belt under spring force. Rotate the crankshaft two turns clockwise to align the label of a camshaft with a label on the back casing of a gear belt. Once again, make sure that all the labels are the same.
Tighten the bolt of a tension roller 45 N ??? m.
Rotate the crankshaft two turns in the direction of rotation of the engine and recheck the alignment marks.

Place toothed belt deflection test
Fig. 4.8. Place toothed belt deflection test

A branch of a gear belt between pulleys of the water pump and camshaft must bend to 10,5-12,0 mm when pressing the belt force of 10 kgf (strong fingers) (Fig. 4.8). Otherwise, loosen the bolt of a tension roller, and again adjust the belt tension.
Establish and fix bolts right and left casings of a gear belt, tightening the bolts to 10 N ??? m. Fit the damper (shock absorber) of the engine.
Install the crankshaft pulley with the washer and fix bolts, having tightened their moment of 30 N ??? m.
Replace the spark plugs.
Install and tighten the V-belt.
Replace the cover on the right wheel arch.
Attach the wire to the negative terminal of the battery.
If there are clock, set the time and enter the security code in the radio.

Rear toothed belt
Withdrawal
Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

A WARNING
When you disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery is erased the memory of electronic storage devices, such as a radio receiver code.

Remove the spark plugs.

Rear toothed belt
Fig. 4.9. Rear toothed belt: 1 - the cylinder head cover; 2 - a nut of fastening of a tension roller; 3 - a casing of a gear belt

Remove the screws and remove the rear casing of a gear belt (Fig. 4.9).
Loosen the nut of a tension roller of a gear belt.

Loose rear toothed belt
Fig. 4.10. Loose rear toothed belt: 1 - Screwdriver; 2 - Allen key

Use a screwdriver to take away a tension roller from the toothed belt and tighten the nut (Fig. 4.10).
Chalk, markers or paint, mark the direction of rotation of the toothed belt. If you are installing the toothed belt will rotate in the opposite direction, it will collapse. Motor pulley rotates clockwise.

A WARNING
Do not bend or fold the toothed belt. Always replace contaminated, damaged or worn belts. Check the uniformity and ease of rotation of the tensioning pulley.

Setting
For cranking the engine, lift the front wheel of the car, turn on the 5th gear and turn the wheel by hand.

A WARNING
