Checking the status of the fuse box

1. Blown fuse

2. A fuse

Electric car circuit protected by a set of fuses, circuit breakers and fusible jumpers. The unit itself includes a fuse box fuse box, wires and connection sockets located behind the dashboard on the driver's side.

Each of the fuse protects your chain and it belongs to a particular circuit is indicated on the fuse box cover. Miniature fuses to the flat terminals are installed in the fuse box.

In case of any item of electrical equipment failure, we must first check the fuses. Blown fuse is easily determined visually through the transparent plastic case. Also, the flat connection terminals fuses in the fuse box are visible and can be checked for continuity.

It is important to be protected with the required power. Various circuits require protection from currents of different capacities. The maximum permissible current for the circuit is indicated in amperes on the body of the fuse color code marks on the lid of the fuse box.

A warning

It does not replace the fuse with a piece of metal or foil. This can cause serious damage to the electrical system.

If the fuse blows immediately after replacement, do not replace it again until you install or remove the cause of the fault. In most cases, the cause of the fault is a short circuit caused by loose or old wire.

The stove and air-conditioning consume a lot of electricity, so the fuse box has a switch to protect their chains. If the circuit breaker opens, turn off the stove and air conditioning before pressing the reset button switch.

The fuse box is located on the left side of the instrument panel. A second fuse box is located under the dashboard on the driver's side.

Blown fuse can be determined visually.
