The cruise control system



Cruise control maintains the set speed of the car by means of an electronic control unit, speed sensor and actuator is located in the engine compartment. The cruise control system consists of a switch, speed sensor, switch lights stoplight switch on the clutch pedal and connecting cables.

Check
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check the fuse on the cruise control.
2. Check the operation of the switch of fires of a stoplight.
3. Check the switch on the clutch pedal.
4. Inspect the vacuum hoses and check the tension of the cable system.
5. Check the speed sensor.

Models Ford Probe

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the switch and check for conductivity (see. Fig. Identification and verification of conduction terminals (between terminals 2 and 3) switch cruise control system - model Probe Ford).
2. Remove the module of an air cushion of safety.
3. Turn off fixing screws, disconnect sockets of connection and remove the switch.
4. Installation is spent upside-down removals.

Mazda models

In these models, the cruise control system has built-in diagnostics.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. In order to activate system diagnostics switch on the ignition and press the Resume / Accel three seconds.
2. Within two seconds after the warning light cruise control on the instrument panel goes out, the fault code will be displayed (see. Table. DTC cruise control models of Mazda).
3. Remove the switch cruise control system and check for conductivity (see. Fig. Identification of the terminals of the main switch of the cruise control - models Mazda).
4. To replace the power switch located on the steering column, see items (see. Table. DTCs cruise control models of Mazda).
5. To replace the main switch of the cruise control remove the switch from the instrument panel and disconnect the connector connections.
6. Installation is spent upside-down removals.

Adjusting the tension of the cable

Remove the retaining clip (A) and adjust the tension of the cable so that it has a free stroke of 3 mm at (B).
