Replacement wheels



Changing a wheel on the move is associated with certain difficulties. The wheel bolts can be rusted or too tight (instead of the required 110 Nm) during the last change in the workshop. In this case, loosen their usual wheel wrench from the toolbox staff may not be possible. To exit from the situation, you can use the cross-shaped key, which put the lever to increase the length of pipe.

SEQUENCE OF WORK
1. Apply the parking brake.
2. If you are stopped on the road, turn on emergency stop signal and will expose a warning sign.
3. Turn on the first gear (manual gearbox) or move the selector lever to position "P" (for automatic transmission).
4. Under the wheels on the other side of the car Put a stone or a piece of wood to prevent rollback.
5. On the car with steel wheels with a screwdriver to pry the cap and remove it.
6. Loosen the wheel bolts by one turn.
7. Use a screwdriver to pry off the cover holes (eyes) to set the jack on the appropriate side and remove it.

8. How can I continue to insert the jack into the eye (Fig. 7.32). Prepare a spare tire.
9. Only after you double-check that the car is protected from the rollback, and the jack securely inserted into the eye, lift the car and remove the full wheel bolts.
10. Remove the wheel.
11. In order to simplify the installation of a spare wheel can screw centering pin from staff recruitment to the upper hole for the wheel bolts.
12. Fit the spare wheel. At the same time, try not to drop it because it can damage the protective coating, especially in the light-alloy wheels.

Tighten the wheel bolts in the order shown torque of 110 Nm

13. crosswise tighten the wheel bolts (Fig. 7.33). This should turn the wheel so that it accurately "village" on the hub.
14. Lower the car, tighten the bolts and tighten them to a torque of 110 Nm.
15. Install the cap. In this first hook it over the gate swap and hold the foot firmly press on the opposite side. It is best to do it when the valve after installation is at the bottom.
16. After 200 km of run again tighten the wheel bolts torque of 110 Nm.
