Removing and installing high-pressure pump

To install the pump requires a special tool. It must be prepared before removal of the pump. In addition, the required key head "27 mm" for cranking, spanner "14 mm" with propylene screwdriver to loosen fuel injection system and a special key to crank the pump shaft.
Removal and installation of the pump is carried out as follows:
- It removes the "minus" plug from the battery;
- Free access to parts of the system from the front of the vehicle;
- Remove the radiator;
- Remove the vacuum pump;
- Remove the oil dipstick guide tube;
- Remove the oil filter cartridge and the filter itself from the oil cooler (the work described in the relevant section). Drain oil into a container;
- Rotate the crankshaft in the rotational direction as long as the first cylinder in the compression phase reaches tags 15 ? ATDC (at a pointer to cover a camshaft drive mechanism and a label on the crankshaft pulley);

Disconnecting the rod (1) on the regulator lever (2)
Fig. 150. Detaching the rod (1) on the regulator lever (2)

- Disconnect the drive pedal lever of the fuel supply from the regulator (Fig. 150);

Fuel filter
Fig. 151. Fuel filter: 1 - the holder of the fuel filter; 2 - coupling; 3 - a direct pipeline; 4 - the return line; 5 - a vacuum hose; 6 - a vacuum regulator mechanism; 7 - pin connector of the electronic shut-off valve; 8 - an electronic shut-off valve; 9 - fuel

- First disconnect the fuel lines 9 (Fig. 151) from the fuel filter. This does not prevent fuel from spilling. Under the connections sealing rings always be replaced. Then disconnect the line 3 and the return pipes 4 from the connection fitting 2;
- Disconnect the vacuum hose from the diaphragm mechanism 5 6 fuel pressure regulator;
- Disconnect the connector 7 of the electronic shut-off valve 8;
- The fuel injection system does not bend when you disconnect;

Injection timing

Removing the pump (details shoot in the process of dismantling)
Fig. 153. Dismantling the pump (details shoot in the process of dismantling): 1 - chain tensioner; 2 - the central bolt; 3 - a washer; 4 - spring washer; 5 - centering sleeve; 6 - pump bolts

- Remove the bolt 1 in the center of injection timing (Fig. 152). It should block the crankshaft from turning. Note: Bolt has a left-hand thread. Bolt are regular and spring washer (Fig. 153);
- Remove the chain tensioner 1 (Fig. 153) (see. Sec. 2 "Engine");
- Unscrew the bolts and remove the pump 6 square nut on the back side. The top bolt is not removed;
- Pull the pump back, disconnecting the drive pedal lever of the fuel supply from the controller of the pump;
- When installing the pump, proceed as follows (adjusting the start of fuel injection is carried out only in the workshop);
- Check that the position of the piston of the first cylinder of the engine is still in line with the mark of 15 ? after TDC. Otherwise, turn the key head crankshaft to match this division with a label on the cover of the drive mechanism of a camshaft;

Fixing the pump regulator
Fig. 154. Fixing regulator pump 1 - pump; 2 - the locking bolt; 3 - control with a projection

- Unscrew the plug on the side of the pump. Turn pump with a special wrench 601 589 00 08 00 for as long as the open hole appears in the projection of the regulator. Screw the locking bolt 601 589 21 May 00 in the hole and tighten up as long as you feel that the bolt entered the projection controller. In Fig. 154 shows the internal structure of the pump and the mounting knob locking bolt;

A warning
Pump can be easily damaged. After installing and fixing the pump should turn the locking bolt.

- Now you can install the pump:
- Pump flange bolts tightened to 20-25 Nm. Remove the locking bolt and screw in the hole plug torque 30-35 Nm;
- Alternately connect fuel lines. Before tightening the fixing screws carefully "fit flush" them carving. Tightening torque 10-20 Nm;
- Tighten the central screw injection timing to 45 Nm, placing it on two washers (See above.).
Further work is carried out in reverse order.
