Turbocharger

In cases when the engine ceases to develop full power, for example not attained maximum velocity, the problem may be associated with a turbocharger. If it fails, it must be replaced because it repaired using conventional tools is impossible. To ensure reliable operation and maintenance of the necessary turbocharger boost pressure the whole system, from the air filter and ending with the exhaust pipe must be sealed. If you suspect a leak, check the following compounds:
- The air pipe between turbocharger and air filter as well as the pipe between the air filter and pump. Nozzles may be leaking or weakened their attachment;
- Air can enter the engine between the air filter and the head block;
- May be leaking flange mounting air filter;
- Also possible leaks between the exhaust manifold and the head unit, or between the manifold and the turbocharger.
To check the boost pressure using a special device, so this work should be carried out in the workshop. If the pressure is too high and the supply to the wastegate is not clogged, likely require replacement turbocharger.
The cause may be a bypass valve, while the boost pressure is below normal.
Fault, the removal of which would cost more than likely related to the failure of the fuel supply system of a balanced, which is in the injection pump. If the device is faulty synchronization, necessary to replace the fuel pump. If you change the color of the exhaust may be a problem in the injection system, so the need for its speedy diagnosis.
