Removing and installing rear intermediate bearing crankshaft

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the propeller shaft (see. Section Removal and installation of rear propeller shaft) and transfer it to the workbench, - try not to damage the front flange (1).
  2. Having laid the shaft in a straight line, mark the relative position adjusting PTO joint (2) of the rear section of the shaft (3), the connecting arm (4) and the front section of the shaft (5).
  3. Remove the four screws (6) and remove the two clamps (7) front propeller joints.
  4. Detach the rear section of the shaft (3) of the connecting arm (4), - try not to drop the hinge cup (8).
  5. Loosen the coupling nut (9) and remove the shim.
  6. Mark the position of the connecting arm (4) with respect to the inner tapered spline joint.
  7. Remove the shaft assembly from the lever (4) and the intermediate bearing assembly (11) - in the latter case, use dvuhzahvatnym remover, try not to damage the front flange (1).

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Put the intermediate bearing (11) on the front section of the shaft (5) mounting holes ahead.
  2. Track correctness of combination caused during the dismantling of the landing labels (see. Paragraph 6 above), put on the front section of the shaft (5) connecting the lever (4).
  3. Install the thrust washer and screw the nut (9).
  4. Pre thoroughly abrade the mating surfaces, season cardan joint (2) to the connecting arm (4), track correctness of input components into engagement and then obtain correct alignment caused during dismantling (see. Paragraph 2 above) adjusting labels.
  5. Install the shaft assembly on the regular place (see. Section Removal and installation of rear propeller shaft).
