Check glow plugs

If you have trouble starting the engine, check the functioning of all glow plugs.

When checking the engine should be cold (ambient temperature), battery - fully charged (voltage of at least 11.5).

Check the power supply

This test is carried out at set glow plugs.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the engine covers, address to Section Removal and installation of the engine cover.
2. Disconnect the glow plugs, for example, using a special clip HAZET 4760-5.
3. Turn on the lamp between the control cable and the ground.
4. Turn on the ignition, warm up the engine. Leave the ignition key in the position of preheat and watch the lamp. The lamp should light up. Likewise, check the power for all glow plugs.
5. Dock connectors glow.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Consistently attach an ohmmeter to each glow plug and check whether the electric current passes between the cylinder block and candle bulbs.
2. If the current does not pass (0 W), the glow plug is damaged and needs to be replaced.
3. Dock connectors glow.
4. Replace the top cover of the engine, address to Section Removal and installation of the engine cover.
