Diesel Engine: Since the fuel is sucked from the transfer pump with cam drive, in a tank located only sensors, respectively, each in his cell the fuel tank.

Before removing the tank must be emptied it in the vehicle or fuel to pump special pump designed for this purpose capacity. It is necessary in this case to follow the good ventilation of the workplace. For this purpose, it can be applied centrifugal fan, a motor which is located outside the air flow.

When removing the fuel pump may leak some fuel. Fuel vapors are poisonous and flammable. Therefore it is necessary to follow the good ventilation of the workplace. Eliminate fuel hit on a skin. Wear gloves that are resistant to fuels. Do not use an open flame!

PERFORMANCE ORDER

It describes the removal of the sensor supply of fuel of the diesel engine. In the gasoline engine removal is similar.

To carry out these works do not connect the auxiliary power supply because It can be damaged by the engine control unit.

1. Disconnect the negative (-) cable of the battery when the ignition is off. You must first remove the air filter box of the passenger compartment.

Before disconnecting the cable, find out the radio security code, if any, address to Section Replacement of the battery.

8. Remove the cam using a key ring nut (5). If this instrument is not available, remove the sensor by a pipe wrench or rod of hard wood and light hammer blows.

No sparking since this can cause a fire.

9. Remove the cover (6) with profile sealing ring.
10. Slightly pull out the right sensor supply of fuel.
11. Disconnect the plug of the right sensor.
12. If the sensor is replaced by disconnecting the connecting pipes on the right sensor.

New sensors are equipped with stock clutches on the connecting pipes.

13. Remove carefully both sensors from the tank. At the same time enclose a rag and wipe the escaping fuel.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
