The basic data and security measures

The basic data and security measures

The ignition system ensures the ignition Combustion cylinder air-fuel mixture. For the formation of the spark intensity required 12-volt on-board supply voltage is converted into a high-voltage ignition coils (BB) - 30 000 V.

Electronic direct ignition is an integral part of the engine management system. The main working components of the ignition system are candles and ignition coils. The distribution voltage supply explosives to the spark plug for spark controls an electronic control unit (ECM).

Arrangement of the main components of the ignition system for petrol models (1 of 4)

B2 / 5 - Sensor MAF / MAF + IAT
B6 / 1 - Hall sensor (camshaft)
B11 / 4 - Coolant temperature sensor (CTS)
B28 (M113 only) - The pressure sensor
L5 - CKP sensor

M33 - Air Pump
T1 / 1 ÷ T1 / 6/7/8 - Ignition coil corresponding cylinder
Y32 - valve switch the air pump
Y62 - Fuel injectors

Arrangement of the main components of the ignition system for petrol models (2 of 4)

A16 / 1 - Left knock sensor (KS 1)
A16 / 2 - Right knock sensor (KS 2)
B40 - The level sensor / temperature / oil quality
M16 / 6 - Activator throttle actuator

Y22 / 6 - Valve switch actuator changes the geometry of the inlet pipeline
Y31 / 1 - Vacuum EGR transducer

Arrangement of the main components of the ignition system for petrol models (3 of 4)

K40 - mounting fuse / relay box:
f2 - The fuse circuit 87
f3 - fuse circuit 87
f4 - air pump fuse
k1 - Fuel pump relay
k6 - air pump relay

k9 - relay circuit 87 engine
N3 / 10 - ECM ME-SFI
N15 / 3 - TCM
N47-7 - ABS control module
N36 - Ballast sensor output speed transmission

Arrangement of the main components of the ignition system for petrol models (4 of 4)

B37 - Pedal
G3 / 3 - Left dokatalitichesky lambda probe

G3 / 3 - Right dokatalitichesky lambda probe

External timing adjustments are not made, - in violation of the required settings must replace the failed component.

Controls the ignition system is not subject to wear and do not require regular maintenance. In accordance with the maintenance schedule (see chap. Current leaving and service) should be done only by the replacement of spark plugs.

Basic information and illustrative material on the sensors and control systems and fuel injection gasoline and diesel engines found in section Principle of operation of the control system and injection gasoline engine and general information.

Safety precautions when working with the ignition system and fuel injection control

In order to prevent personal injury and / or breakdown of the components of ignition / injection control is necessary to observe the following:

  • Do not touch the ignition system wiring and connectors disconnects it when the engine is running / rotating starter;
  • Perform disconnecting / connecting the fuel injection control system / electrical ignition system and connection / disconnection of any diagnostic and measuring equipment only when the ignition is switched off;
  • Do not allow to carry out maintenance work, electronic ignition system of people with implanted pacemaker;
  • Do not short to ground terminals ?? 1 ignition coils;
  • Do not connect the test lamp to the terminals ?? 1 ignition coils.
