Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Drain the oil from the front differential (see chap. Current care and maintenance).
  2. Detach the propeller shaft (14) from the coupling flange the drive pinion and tie it to the frame.
  3. Give nuts of the lower strut (3).
  4. Loosen the diagonal rod (4) to the frame.
  5. Disconnect brake line (5), - immediately plug the open ends of the lines in order to minimize the loss of hydraulic fluid.
  6. Disconnect (and immediately plug the) hydraulic lines from the slave cylinder drive differential lock.
  7. Disconnect electroconducting from the gauge-switch of pressure differential lock.
  8. Remove the contact pad brake pad wear sensors.
  9. Remove the wheel sensors and the wiring sandwiched near the front axle assembly.
  10. Remove the anti-roll bar (6) complete with racks.
  11. Remove the cotter pin and release the castellated nut on the steering drag link (7).
  12. Extract the transverse rod (7) from the pitman arm (8).
  13. Disconnect from the frame (2) trailing arms (1) Suspension.
  14. Post car so that it was possible to remove the coil springs (10) (see. Section Removal and installation of spring front suspension).
  15. Remove the bolt (11) securing the diagonal rod (4), and then post the assembly of the bridge (12) forward and pull it out from under the car.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Get a front axle assembly (12) under the car.
  2. Install the coil springs (10) (see. Section Removal and installation of spring front suspension).
  3. Install (but do not tighten yet) the bolt (11) securing the diagonal rod (4).
  4. Lower the car so that there was the possibility of landing the trailing arms (1) into the frame.
  5. Install the rubber bushing (13) and tighten the nuts.
  6. Install the shock absorber (3) and tighten the mounting screws.
  7. Tighten the stabilizer bar supports (6).
  8. Tighten the bolt (11) securing the diagonal rod (4) to the frame (2).
  9. Connect the tie rod (7) and tighten the castle nut of its fastening. Lock nut cotter pin.
  10. Connect the brake line (6), - make sure that the lines were at a distance of not less than 20 mm from the springs in any position of the front wheels.
  11. Connect the slave cylinder drive differential lock hydraulic lines and electrical wiring.
  12. Connect wiring to terminal blocks and sensors wear of the friction brake linings.
  13. Connect the propeller shaft (14), - make sure that the new self-locking nuts have been tightened with demanded effort.
  14. Fill the differential (see chap. Current care and maintenance).
  15. Bleed the brake system (see chap. Brakes and auxiliary systems) and check up serviceability of functioning of brakes.
