Remove the steering gear housing, and set it in a vice with soft sponges. Turn the adjusting screw lock rail (Fig. 6.7), apply to the threaded part of the screw sealant and then tighten the adjusting screw. Lightly tighten the lock nut. Tighten adjusting screw torque of 5-6 Nm; remove the adjusting screw and tighten it to a torque of 0.2 Nm.

Move several times the entire length of rail travel. Measure with a torque wrench (special tool Nissan ST3127S000) and adapter (device Nissan KV48100700) (Fig. 6.8) time turning gear rack. Set the rack gear to the point corresponding to the maximum torque measurement. Let go, and then tighten the adjusting screw torque of 4.9 Nm. Loosen adjusting screw 70-110 ?�. Tighten locknut set moment.
