Check of effort moving rack



Lift the front of the vehicle and remove the wheels. Disconnect the tie rod from the steering knuckle. Remove the universal joint is located between the shaft of the steering and power steering, which loosen the bolt. Start up the engine, warm up the hydraulic fluid in the steering system to 60-80 ?� C. Measure using a dynamometer attached to the steering draft, the force moving the rack from its middle position. If the measured force exceeds 284 N, replace the steering mechanism. Connect the universal joint and install the tie rods in place. Follow the rest of the assembly operations in reverse order.
