Check of effort steering

Place the vehicle on a dry level surface and place the wheel in the straight-ahead position. Check and top up the tire pressure. Apply the parking brake. Start up the engine and hydraulic fluid in the power steering to 60-80 ? C. With the help of a dynamometer attached to the rim of the steering wheel, check the force of the steering wheel one turn. The engine must be idling. If the force exceeds 38 N, check the force moving the steering rack.
