2. Park the vehicle on a level surface, set the parking brake and turn off the ignition. To expand the workspace lift the front of the car and establish on supports. Keep in mind that you will need to lower the car to when checking the oil level to get an accurate reading. |
3. Wipe the oil level plug (this hole is also intended for refilling oil), which is in front of the transaxle housing. Remove the cap and wipe. |
4. Place a pan under the drain plug, which is located on the left side of the differential housing in the CPR. |
5. Drain the oil into the pan, taking care not to get burned. Thoroughly clean the drain plug and the inspection hole, remove the metal particles from the magnetic inserts. |
6. After draining the oil, clean the threads on the caps and the crankcase and tighten the drain plug to the specified torque. If the vehicle has been lifted, then lower it to the wheels. |
