Replacement of the oil filter, view from below

A warning

If a maintenance procedure was not observed for a long time, the following checks and adjustments should be performed as needed.

Timely replacement of oil and filter are the most important types of preventive maintenance, which the owner can do on their own. With the aging of the engine oil is its dilution and pollution, which leads to premature engine wear.

Before replacing the oil, prepare all the necessary tools and materials. The oil is best drained the engine is warm, as hot oil quickly and completely removed from the engine, carrying the dirt. The work is greatly simplified if the car is on the viaduct, the observation pit, or raised on a jack and mounted on the stand. When changing the oil must be kept horizontal position of the car, regardless of how lifting, or is it a situation in which the pan drain plug is at the lowest point.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the oil filler plug on the cylinder head cover.
2. Remove the drain plug approximately 1/2 turn. Put a cork container and fully remove the cork. Remove the plug O-ring.
3. Drain the oil pan is gradually moving closer to the drain.
4. Wipe clean the plug and sealing ring. Check the condition of the O-ring, if damaged, replace the ring. Wipe the pan around the drain, put a ring screw plug and tighten with the set moment.
5. The oil filter is located on the right side of the cylinder, at the back part of it. Access to the filter is provided below.
6. Place a container under the filter.
7. Loosen the filter with a special key, then remove the filter by hand. Drain oil from the filter vessel.
8. Wipe clean the filter seal a place on the engine by removing excess oil and dirt. Inspect the exhaust filter, check the gaskets that could stick to the cylinder block, remove gasket.
9. Lightly lubricate the seal on the new filter with fresh oil for the engine and tighten the filter. After the liner to come into contact with the surface of the cylinder, slightly pull the filter, and then tighten the 2/3 turn.
10. Take the car out of a jar of drained oil and a tool lower the car.
11. Pour half the required amount of oil. Wait about 2 minutes that oil has flown down in the pallet. Continue to fill in oil in small portions, until the level reaches the bottom mark on the dipstick. Bring the level to the upper mark on the dipstick, top up about 1.0 liters of oil.
12. Start the engine and for two minutes watch for leaks around the oil filter and drain plug. Keep in mind that the indicator lamp emergency oil pressure goes out a few seconds after starting the engine, ie, by the time it takes to fill the oil filter and oil channels. While the lamp is not extinguished the engine should be operated only at idle.
13. Stop the engine, two minutes later, again check the oil level, top up if necessary.
