Technical condition
On the drive gear should not be nicks, broken teeth. The teeth of the gear need not be worn. The gear can easily be rotated relative to the hub freewheel, but only in the direction of rotation of the rotor when the engine is started. The brushes in the brush holder must move freely, without jamming. The minimum length of brushes 13 mm.
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Check with the lamp, for a short rotor winding to the "masses." The voltage across the lamp is applied to the rotor shaft and the collector plates. If the lamp is lit, it indicates the closure of the winding to the "masses." Such rotor should be replaced. | 2. Special device to check whether the insulation between the sections of the rotor winding, or collector plates, as well as for an open spot in the winding connections soldered to the collector plates. In the event of damage to the rotor to replace him. | 3. Examine the surface of the collector. Dirty or clean the collector burnt fine sandpaper. At considerable damage the collector surface can be machined on a lathe, while taking as little as possible of the metal. | 4. Inspect the cover. If they have a crack, the lid replaced. If worn bearings 7 and 11, replace the lid, or the bearings themselves. |
