To access the drive mechanism of the hatch for the purpose of repair or adjustment is necessary to remove the outer panel and move towards the lift frame 2 (Fig. 15.70) and cover the frame 4 for the horizontal displacement. The structure of the frame 5 of the opening of the hatch as a single unit includes rails, guide wires and cables themselves. To replace the frame of the hatch cover must be removed from the passenger compartment and the cast body frame.

A WARNING

It does not lubricate the rails in the frame of the hatch usual multi-purpose grease. For this site there is a special grease with part number 000 450 Volkswagen G 02.
