Dismantling the internal hinge
As the parts are supplied to the hinge, dirt-protecting covers, washers, grease, nut and drive shaft snap rings. Dismantling the internal hinge sequence is as follows:
| Fig. 9.13. Retrieving balls from hub
| Fig. 9.16. Extract the hub with cage from the case of the external hinge
- Turn the hub with cage and remove it from the hinge body (see. Fig. 9.13). Remove the balls from the separator. To remove the hub from the separator, turn the hub of the separator so that the balls are parallel tracks end of the hub (Fig. 9.16); - Clean all parts of the hinge and check their condition. If there are signs of wear or corrosion, replace the hinge assembly. The assembly of the internal hinge sequence is as follows:
| Fig. 9.17. Set of balls in the cage of the internal hinge
- Insert the hub into the separator by following the steps in the reverse order of its recovery, then insert a separator balls (Fig. 9.17);
| Fig. 9.18. When installing the hub into the housing on the housing a greater distance (a) should be aligned with the bottleneck Kit (b)
- Set the hub at an angle of 90 ? to the body and ensure that a greater distance on the case was combined with the bottleneck of the hub, and then turn the hub and insert it into the yoke (Fig. 9.18, 9.19);
| Fig. 9.19. Proper rotation of the hub for mounting it in the housing
| Fig. 9.20. Place pressure on the separator to install balls in the joint housing
- Make sure that the groove on the inner surface of the hub directed to the larger diameter of the yoke. Turn the hub of the separator, the balls went into the groove in the housing, then click on the separator so that the hub and the balls snap into place in the hinge case (Fig. 9.20); - Manually move the hub pivot in different directions, in order to check the smoothness of movement and correct assembly.
