Fig. 9.2. Remove the locking ring from the end of the internal hinge of equal angular speeds

- Using special pliers to remove the snap rings, remove the retaining ring from the shaft end (Fig. 9.2);

Removing gryazeotrazhatelya a joint using a mandrel

Installing an internal hinge sequence is as follows:
- Before installing the new hinge, thoroughly clean the drive shaft;
- Establish a spring Belleville washers on the shaft so that the convex side of the puck is on the hinge side, and internal goals are aligned with the slots of the shaft splines;

Pressing the inner hinge on the wheel drive shaft
Fig. 9.5. Pressing the inner hinge on the wheel drive shaft

- Fix the inner shroud with a soft sponge and insert the drive shaft. If the shaft is not included in the hinge joint on the press-fit via the press shaft (the shaft bottom has to rely on the support) (Fig. 9.5);
- Set in the groove of the drive shaft a new snap ring;
fill the internal hinge 120 g of lubricant, with half lubricant put in the hinge on one side and half - from the other;
- Replace the mud cover. Before attaching the Dirt cover clamps, screwdriver pry up the inside edge of the boot to equalize pressure of air under cover;

Installation Dirt inside of the cover of the internal hinge on the left drive shaft
Fig. 9.6. Installation Dirt inside of the cover of the internal hinge on the left drive shaft

- When installing the internal hinge on the left drive shaft mark with tape or paint a distance equal to 17 mm (Fig. 9.6);

Location inside of the cover of the internal hinge Dirt on the right shaft
Fig. 9.7. Location inside of the cover of the internal hinge Dirt on the right shaft

- Dirt cover when installing the right wheel drive shaft lock chamber "A" (Fig. 9.7), set on a thick portion of the tubular shaft.
