Vibration damper drive shaft



Removing and installing vibration damper spend in the following order:
- Hang out the front of the car and lock the support columns;
- Clean the torsional vibration damper, and then turn it to provide access to the cylindrical pin, fastened together the two halves of the damper;

- A knockout with a thin screwdriver, beat out a cylindrical pin from the damper and remove the damper from the drive shaft (Fig. 9.21).
Install in reverse order of removal, and the use a new cylindrical pin. If necessary, replace the tape under the absorber.

Monolithic damper with August 1989
Removing and installing vibration damper spend in the following order:
- Remove the corresponding drive shaft. Remove the shaft inner joint.
- Slide on the drive shaft torsional vibration damper.

Install in reverse order of removal. Set the damper shaft to withstand the distance setting of the absorber (Fig. 9.22). Install the inner joint and drive shaft.
