Overview
Engine AAZ and 1Y The fuel system includes a fuel tank, the fuel injection pump (pump) fuel filter with a separator, fuel supply and return pipes and the four fuel injectors. The high pressure pump is driven by a toothed belt. Fuel under high pressure pump through pipes delivers fuel to the injectors, which are installed in the cylinder head near the combustion chambers. Injectors inject fuel into the vortex chambers, in which fuel ignition occurs. The nozzle is a valve that opens when a strictly defined fuel pressure. Sprayer, located at the lower end of the nozzle, the fuel spray torch generates a desired shape. Fuel cut-off is done with a needle under the influence of spring nozzles. Atomizer and needle assembly are precision accuracy and require careful handling during repair. After the oil is pumped along the cut-off needle, greasing it, and return pipe to the tank diverted. Serviceability and correct adjustment of the nozzles is very important for normal engine operation. If the spray nozzle does not provide the required flame shape, or there is a bad cut-off, the engine starts with the vibration, there are strong mechanical knocks, raises dymlenie. To stop the motor has a solenoid valve. When starting the engine valve is supplied to the coil voltage of 12 V. The valve opens and allows the fuel pump and injectors. When you turn off the engine by turning the key in the ignition is switched off the fuel valve and shut off the flow of fuel. To facilitate a cold start on early models used a cable to increase the idle speed, which is controlled from the instrument panel. In later models of the cable starting a cold engine is replaced by an automatic actuator to increase the idle speed, installed on the fuel pump. Engines 1Z, AHU and AFN The system of direct fuel injection provides electronic control unit (ECU), sensors and actuators. Fuel injection timing determined by the position of the fuel pump. Dynamic fuel injection timing and fuel injection duration is controlled by the ECU and are dependent on the engine speed, the flow quantity and temperature of air entering the engine, coolant temperature, absolute atmospheric pressure (altitude) and the vacuum in the intake manifold. Furthermore, the ECU controls the operation of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), a system of the emission control system, control pressure generated by a turbocharger and the control system spark plugs.
