The system self-diagnostics and fault codes

Injection system MONO-Jetronic

System of injection Mono-Jetronic detects and stores faults occurring during operation of the vehicle. Produced remembering only one fault. After reading and troubleshooting, during the re-diagnosis will be shown the following possible faults.

If the electric circuit malfunction caused a temporary breach of the chain are not repeated in the last 8 starts the engine, they are erased from the memory.

Display of fault codes produced bulb located in the instrument cluster. If you run the engine light comes on and goes off, it means the system is not self-recorded fault. When reading DTCs from the memory, the light flashes.

Four-fault codes are displayed as a series of groups of flashes light bulbs with pauses between the groups of flashes for 2.5 seconds. The fault code is displayed after the start signal, at which the light flashes on and off at 2.5 seconds.

Example flashing fault code 2-3-4-2:

- Flash duration 2.5 seconds,

- Pause of 2.5 seconds.

Signal DTC:

- Two flashes,

- Pause of 2.5 seconds,

- Three flashes,

- Pause of 2.5 seconds,

- Four outbreaks,

- Pause of 2.5 seconds,

- Two flashes,

- Pause of 2.5 seconds.

To erase trouble codes and turn off the ignition, using an additional wire connect to weight conclusion of the diagnostic socket red or yellow with black stripe wire connector of the ignition coil. The diagnostic connector is located under the cover of the gear lever. Switch off the ignition and 5 with optional disconnect the wire from the connector, with the DTC is cleared. DTCs 2-3-4-1 and 2-3-4-3 are cleared only after disconnecting from the control unit 30.

The rest of the fuel injection system

Injection system detects and stores the malfunction occurs during operation of the vehicle. Fault codes can be read only with special diagnostic equipment.

On all systems, engine management used the same fault codes.
