Adjusting handbrake



Brake cable

1 - an adjusting nut,

A warning

Optimum gap brake pad is supported by the automatic adjustment mechanism, however, the replacement of cables of a manual brake or rear brake caliper is necessary to make adjustment of the handbrake.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. At least once, press the brake pedal to stop.
2. Fully release the hand brake.
3. Pull up and remove the ashtray from the rear of the center console.
4. Loosen the screws of the rear wheels, then lift the rear of the car and fix on supports. Remove the rear wheels.
5. Remove from the handbrake cables compensator plastic parts that can not be reused.
6. Blade screwdriver to fix the cables of a manual brake compensator from turning.
7. Adjust a cable of a manual brake as follows.
8. Remove the retainer (4) (see. Fig. Brake cable).
9. Turn the adjusting nut and tighten it all the way, the groove for the lock to be blocked.
10. Move the cover of a cable of a manual brake (2 and 3) (see. Fig. Brake cable) towards each other.
11. Turn the adjusting nut in the opposite direction until the groove for the striker.
12. Install the retainer.
13. By pulling in different directions, stretch the sheath handbrake (2 and 3) (see. Fig. Brake cable) on both handbrake cables to complete cable tension (arrows). At the same time, check that the handbrake lever on the support has not moved.
14. Remove the screwdriver from the compensator handbrake cables and repeatedly tighten a manual brake.
15. Check the tension of cables of a manual brake. With the right cable tension handbrake distance (A) between the handbrake lever and brake caliper should be less than 1.5 mm.
16. Otherwise, readjust, which by unscrewing or tightening the adjusting nut (1) (see. Fig. Clutch cable Handbrake), adjust a cable of a manual brake so that the distance between the handbrake lever and the caliper is less than 1 5 mm.
A warning

During the adjustment, turn the adjusting sleeve so as not acted colored O-ring from the end of the adjusting sleeve. Otherwise, the element handbrake cable adjustment will enter the water and dirt.


17. Install and tighten bolts the rear wheels.
18. Lower the car on the earth and tighten wheel bolts torque of 120 Nm.
19. Reinstall the ashtray.
