Replacing valve stem seals



Withdrawal (if installed cylinder head)
Remove the camshafts.
Remove the pump-injector.
Move the piston of the corresponding cylinder to TDC.
Screw the mounting device for the valves to the cylinder head.

Remove the valve spring

Remove the valve springs using a valve or mandrel puller (Fig. 2.312).

NOTE
Wherein the valve rest on the bottom of the piston.

Remove the valve stem seals with special tool.

Setting
Put on appropriate valve stem included in the repair kit plastic cover A. This helps to avoid damage to the new valve stem seal B.

Installation of a new valve stem seal

Install the new valve stem seal in the device for pressing the valve stem seal (Fig. 2.313).
Grease the sealing lips of the valve stem and replace the valve guide until it stops.
Install the unit injector.
Install camshafts.
