Replacement of protective covers
Mounting covers Before replacing the cover, you should familiarize yourself with the mount.

To fix the clamps in the workshop covers the Volkswagen uses a special clamping device shown in Fig. 227. If such a device is not present, it is necessary to use something similar. The device, resembling pincers, grabs both ends of the belt in the zone B. Rounding A clamping device with a torque wrench to tighten the belt until the moment of 25 Nm. If the rubber bellows torn, in most cases, this means that the hinge hit the dirt road, so the joint must be replaced or disassembled to thoroughly clean it from the inside. Thus it is possible to determine the degree of wear. If it is significant, it is necessary to establish a new joint.
