Transmission, final drive and differential mounted in a housing, so disassembly of the unit will necessarily lead to dismantling of another. Current inspection, repair and adjustment requires special tools.

The vehicle used transmission type 085. It was set in the previous models Polo, however, possible to install various modifications of the gearbox, so during all work on the gearbox should pay attention to her room. It is located at the place specified in Fig. 150, and consists of a code (for example, CJG), date of manufacture ("25"), the month of manufacture ("10") and the year of manufacture ("5" - 1995). For more information about the model of the gearbox can also be found on the nameplate of the car with the designation of the product model. Number gearbox is in the position shown in Fig. 151.
