Assembling the cylinder head

The assembly of the cylinder head spend in the sequence, return dismantling, observing the following guidelines:
- Generously grease the valve stems with engine oil and insert them in the appropriate guides;

Installing the valve stem seals
Fig. 49. Install stem seals: 1 - plastic sleeve; 2 - stem seal; 3 - special tool 3129

- Using a special tool 3 (Fig. 49), install the valve stem seals 2, as follows:
- Push the plastic sleeve 1 3129 special tools on the protruding part of the valve guide;
- Well, lubricate with engine oil valve stem seal and put it into a plastic sleeve;
- Put on the special tool 3129 at the valve stem cap and gently push down on the guide sleeve;

Note
When installing the valve stem seals without the use of a special tool 3129 can be damaged, which will lead to increased oil consumption.

- Was produced when grinding valves, each valve must be installed in the seat to which it has been lapped;

Details of the mechanism of the valve

- Set in the holes of the cylinder head on one inner and outer spring 4 (see. Fig. 37) corresponding to the valve (if installed spring old);

- Put on the top plate 3 of the valve spring. Set puller valves (see. Fig. 36) in order to compress the spring. If the end of the valve stem protrudes from the top plate of the valve spring, you need to install the two halves of the valve stem 2 (see. Fig. 37) into the stem and gently press the valve remover;
- Insert the hydraulic tappets in accordance with the previously deposited risk opening their pre-lubricated with engine oil;
- Generously grease the engine oil cervix (the location of the bearings) camshafts;
- Position the camshafts in the cylinder head support and rotate them several times. Orient the camshafts in such a way that the two cams of the first cylinder on two shafts looking up;
- Mount both camshafts in the cylinder head as follows.

Generously grease the insides of the bearing caps with engine oil and install the cylinder head bearing caps 3 and 5 (see. Fig. 34), and bearing caps 1 (see. Fig. 31) of the camshaft according to the figure. 50:

Note
The numbers on the installed bearing caps should be read from the exhaust pipe, and the arrow on the cover installed must point in the direction of the flywheel of the crankshaft.

- Tighten the four nuts alternately crosswise in several stages, and tighten them to a torque of 20 Nm. Due to the uniform tightening the valve springs will slowly shrink, and thus be able to avoid misalignment of the camshaft;
- In the same way, set the bearing caps 1 and 7;
- Turn the camshaft several times to make sure it never pinched.
Mounting camshaft cylinder bank 2, 4 and 6
Generously grease the insides of the bearing caps with engine oil and install the cylinder head bearing caps 2 and 6 (see. Fig. 34), and bearing caps 1 (see. Fig. 31) of the camshaft in accordance with Fig. 50:

Note
The numbers on the installed bearing caps should be read from the exhaust pipe, and the arrow on the cover installed must point in the direction of the flywheel of the crankshaft.

- Tighten the four nuts alternately crosswise in several stages, and tighten them to a torque of 20 Nm. Due to the uniform tightening the valve springs will slowly shrink, and thus be able to avoid misalignment of the camshaft;
- In the same way, set the bearing cap 4;
- Turn the second camshaft several times to make sure it is not pinched anywhere;
- Put asterisks on camshafts. Sprockets should be set to the trees, which stood up to the showdown. Next to the sprocket were fixed stoppers;
- For one of the camshaft drive mechanism set leash Hall sensor 5 (see. Fig. 31);
- Replace the camshaft sprocket 4 (see. Fig. 31) of the drive. Contact surfaces leash and drive sprocket must be dry;

- Tighten the screws 6 (see. Fig. 31) securing the sprocket lock the camshafts in a stationary position with hexagons (see. Fig. 32) and tighten both bolts stars torque of 100 Nm. Then release the camshafts;
- Clean the surface of the camshaft covers and put on her sealant AMV 188 002 02;
- Replace the cover. First, tighten the bolts one by one by hand, then tighten them in a circle with a torque of 10 Nm. Check the inside of the cover there is inserted a sealing O-ring, which must be in the cap;

- If both camshafts (or only one camshaft) were removed when the engine installed, then before you install the cover of camshafts, need to clean up the two trehmillimetrovye holes (Fig. 51, indicated by arrows) in the cylinder head cover and grease sealant AMV 188 002 02;
- Set the ignition coil;
- Replace the cylinder head all previously removed parts, the amount of which depends on the amount spent repairs. Except for the parts that are installed during assembly of the cylinder head in order to do one job twice.
