The elements of the cooling system on the engine
Fig. 467. The elements of the cooling system on the engine: 1 - a bolt, 20 Nm; 2 - a pulley; 3 - ribbed belt; 4 - bolt 10 Nm; 5 - the coolant pump; 6 - bolt 20 Nm + 90 ?; 7 - a sealing ring; 8 - a collar; 9 - a temperature sensor; 10 - the holder; 11 - oil cooler; 12 - the connecting element; 13 - a hose to the bottom of the radiator; 14 - the thermostat; 15 - a lining (always replace); 16 - nut 30 Nm; 17 - an arm; And - to the radiator; B - to the radiator heater; C - from the radiator heater

The coolant pump
Fig. 468. The coolant pump 1 - a bolt, 20 Nm; 2 - the coolant pump; 3 - bolt 10 Nm; 4 - bolt 10 Nm; 5 - the coolant temperature sensor, 7 Nm; 6 - thermostat; 7 - bolt 10 Nm; A - is attached to the cylinder head; B - to the heat exchanger; C - the radiator heater; D - from the radiator

The coolant pump is located to the right of the engine and driven by a Poly-V belt from the crankshaft of the engine (Fig. 467). In Fig. 468 pump is shown separately.
The procedure for removing the coolant pump:
- Turn off the AB;
- Install the front part of the car on supports and remove the crankcase;
- Drain the coolant from the cooling system (see. P. 19.1.1).
- Loosen the screws coolant pump pulley until the belt is worn;
- Remove ribbed belt;
- Remove the water pump pulley;
- Remove the four bolts of the crankshaft pulley and remove the pulley;
- Remove the lower part of the protection of the drive belt;
- Loosen the hose clamps in the places of their connection to the pump, and disconnect hoses;
- Remove the bolts of the pump and remove the pump from the engine block. Remove the O-ring and check its condition. Another O-ring stands between the inlet pipe of the pump and the coolant pump housing.
Installation of the pump takes place in reverse order. Tightening torque pump and pulley - 20 Nm.
Install poly V-belt and adjust its tension as described in Sec. 19.3.3.
Fill in cooling liquid in cooling system (see. P. 19.1.1).
