The pistons and connecting rods are knocked out of the cylinder upwards hammer handle, after the removal of covers and inserts the connecting rod bearing. Before performing these studies should observe the following recommendations:
| Fig. 54. Marking the bottom of the pistons before their removal
- Apply (preferably color) marking on each piston (Fig. 54) and the associated connecting rod. It is necessary to specify the number of the cylinder from which the piston and connecting rod have been removed; - Draw an arrow (see. Fig. 54) at the bottom of the piston pointing towards the front of the engine;

- Immediately after the piston rod, mark the connecting rod and the connecting rod bearing cap side (Fig. 55) by specifying the number of cylinders. The connecting rod and bearing cap of the connecting rod must be collected in such a way that both the molded protrusion are arranged opposite each other (Fig. 56); - Mark the bearing shells in accordance with the connecting rod and connecting rod cap;
A warning Both molded protrusion after installation rod should always be arranged by the crankshaft pulley. |
- Color mark the upper and lower bearing shells at their rear side. Removal of pistons is as follows: - Remove covers of rods and bushings and beat out the details. If necessary, the oil scraper scrape a deposit on top of the cylinder. To do this, turn the crankshaft slightly to lower the piston further into the cylinder bore. Be careful not to scratch the cylinder scraper;

- With a sharp object or a small punch (Fig. 57) Remove the snap rings located on each side of the piston pin. Sections having a hole for the piston pin, facilitates the application of the punch; - With special tool beat out the piston pin. Upon impact, be careful not to drift jumped and hit the piston;

- Label the piston rings and remove them with the help of a stripper (Fig. 58);
| Fig. 59. Removal of the piston ring by means of the metal strips
- If the puller piston rings have, it can be inserted under the piston rings of metal strips facing each other (Fig. 59). One of the metal strips enclose the end of the piston ring to avoid scratching the surface of the piston; - Remove the piston rings and hang tags on them with the number of cylinders. When viewed from the piston rings, make sure that on one side there is a mark ?Oben? or "Top". When installing the piston rings, this label must be visible from the bottom of the piston.
