Check the oil pressure sensor

Test conditions
Engine oil temperature must be at least 80 ? C (cooling fan must work at least once)
In cars with automatic transmission put the selector in position ?P? or ?N?.

The order of execution of works
Remove the oil pressure gauge F1 and screw it into the gauge.

The device for checking the oil pressure
Fig. 2.259. The device for checking the oil pressure

Screw the pressure gauge VAG 1342 with adapter VAG 1342/14 instead of oil pressure in the oil filter holder (Fig. 2.259).

NOTE
Observe the installation position of the adapter VAG 1342/14: tapered connecting pipe adapter is connected to the pressure hose pressure gauge VAG 1342.

Attach the brown wire gauge to measure the pressure of oil VA G 1342 to earth (-).
Connect voltage tester VAG 1527B using auxiliary cables from auxiliary measuring set VAG 1594 C funds to the positive terminal of the battery (+) and oil pressure switch F1. LED tester should not light up.
If the LED lights up, replace the oil pressure switch F1.
If the LED does not light start the engine and leave it idling.
When an overpressure of 1.2-1.6 bar LED should light up, otherwise replace the oil pressure switch F1.
