Checking oil pressure
Test conditions Engine oil temperature must be at least 80 ?� C (cooling fan must work at least once) In cars with automatic transmission put the selector in position ?�P?� or ?�N?�.
The order of execution of works Check the oil pressure at different speeds: 1500 min-1 - at least 1.7 bar; 2000 min -1 - 3.0-5.5 bar; more than 2000 min -1 - max. 7.0 bar. If the actual values given below, check the strainer in maslozabornom nozzle for contamination. Check the pressure pipe between the oil pump and engine block for tightness.
NOTE Mechanical damage such as bearing failure may also be the cause of reducing the oil pressure. |
If the fault is not found, replace the oil pump. Oil pressure must not exceed 7.0 bar. If the oil pressure is higher than 7.0 bar Check the oil channels. Oil pump may be jammed safety valve. Replace the oil pump.
