Removing and installing V-ribbed belt (gasoline engine 4,2L)



Withdrawal
Remove the soundproofing screen.
Mark direction of travel V-ribbed belt.

Turn the wrench clockwise so that you can lock the tensioner mandrel T10060 (Fig. 2.2).
Remove ribbed belt.

Setting
Before installing poly V-belt Check the fastening of all units (alternator, air conditioning compressor, vane pump).
Check ease of rotation of the vent clip.
When installing poly V-belt monitor the progress and direction of the belt are seated correctly on the belt pulley.

Route the serpentine belt, as shown in Figure 2.3.
Start the engine and check the progress of the belt.
