Removing and installing starter at the four-cylinder diesel engines



Withdrawal
Chalk, markers or paint mark the direction of rotation of poly V-belt. If you are installing poly V-belt will rotate in the opposite direction, it will lead to its destruction.
Loosen the screws V-belt tensioner and remove the air conditioning compressor belt from pulleys.
Remove the air conditioning compressor mounting bolts to the bracket and, without disconnecting from it pipelines, take the compressor aside and fix soft wire.
Remove the screw to release the lock and remove the protective shield of the right drive shaft.
Turn out bolts and remove an arm of the turbocharger.

Disconnect the wires from the starter 1 and 2 (Fig. 18.34).
3 Remove the nut fastening clip harness to the starter.
Remove the starter mounting bolts to the transmission and remove the starter.

Setting
Installation is spent to sequences, return to removal, taking into account the following.
Install the air conditioning compressor belt and adjust its tension.

Set the torque wrench to the hex head mechanism of a tension belt air conditioning compressor in the "seven o'clock", create a pretension torque 30 Nm (see. Fig. 18.33) and in this position, tighten the bolts tensioner to 23 Nm.
Tighten the M10 screw mount starter to gearbox 45 Nm and M12 to 65 Nm.
Tighten the air conditioning compressor to the bracket to 25 Nm.
