Replacement of bearings rear hub



You will need: face head "24", flat, flat-blade screwdriver, barbs, bearing puller for pulling out, a universal stripper.
1. Loosen the wheel bolts.
2. Turn on the set and I transfer Chock the front wheels. Raise and establish on reliable support the rear of the vehicle.
3. Remove a corresponding wheel.
4. Remove the brake drum (see. "Removing and installing the brake drum"). At the same time will be removed and the inner ring of the outer bearing inner ring, both bearings and seals.
5. Remove the oil seal by prying with a screwdriver.
HELPFUL ADVICE
Replace new oil seal during removal.

6. Remove the hub inner bearing inner ring.
7. Using a hammer and beards, beat and out of the hub outer ring of the outer bearing.
NOTE
For pulling out the housing hub brake drum made two slots (one is visible in the image, the second is diametrically).

8. Similarly, press out the outer ring of the internal bearing.

9. Clean the old grease from the inner cavity of the hub and spigot. On landing surfaces for bearings on the journal and hub should not be signs of wear, chips, nicks, burrs. In the presence of these defects replace the damaged parts.
10. Coat the inside of the hub cavity and a pin bearing grease Lithol-24 or its foreign analogues (Hytex EP-2 company Texaco, Mobilux 2, 3, EP2, EP3, Mobilgrease MP company Mobil, Energrease L2, LS3 company British Petroleum and others. ).
11. Press in the outer ring into the hub inner bearing mandrel of suitable diameter.
12. Lay the grease in the hub cavity.
13. Similarly, in the press in the outer ring of the new hub of the outer bearing.
14. Install the hub pre-greased inner bearing inner ring ...
15. ... and press-fit the oil seal.

NOTE
Before installing the oil seal, lubricate it with grease a working edge.

16. Install the brake drum on a pin.
17. Install the outer bearing inner ring.
18. Install the washer and hub nut.
19. Install the wheel.
20. Adjust the bearings (see. "Adjusting the rear hub bearings").
