Replacing the spring rear suspension

Replace spring by mechanical damage or heavy precipitation. Signs of rainfall:
- Deterioration of the ride, frequent "breakdowns" suspension;
- The apparent bias back of a car or a significant difference in height front and rear, a result of use;
- Strongly pronounced traces of collision of coils.
NOTE
Replace spring set (left and right simultaneously).

You will need a key "17".

HELPFUL ADVICE
Convenient to carry out the work on the lift, and an assistant.

1. If you are replacing the spring on the lift, set under the rear axle support and lower the car, slightly loaded the suspension. When working on a pit, this operation is not required.
2. Remove the bolt of the shock absorber bracket to the rear axle, remove the screw (see. "Replacing the rear suspension shock absorber") and move the damper to the side so that it does not interfere with work.

WARNINGS
Do not pull the shock absorber in the direction a distance greater than is necessary to work in order to avoid bending the rod.
Do not disconnect while the two lower shock mount on the rear axle.

3. Lift the car to unload the spring and remove the spring 1 and the upper pad 2. As a rule, the length of the brake hose 3 is sufficient that it is not taut, but if you see that the hose is stretched, disconnect it at the time of replacement of the spring, so as not to damage (see. "Replacing the brake hose").

A WARNING
Removal and installation of spring follow very carefully to avoid firing spring of suspension and injury.

4. Remove the bottom lining of a spring from a platform on the rear axle.

A WARNING
Damaged gasket springs replaced.

5. Install the spring with pads on the car in reverse order of removal. Replace the second spring is similar, but only after securing the lower end of the shock absorber disconnected when replacing the first spring.
