Steering transfer of cars with power steering

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the cotter pin and loosen the nuts pin of the spherical rod ends to the swivel. Puller 09568-31000 squeeze pins of spherical rod ends to the steering knuckle.
2. Remove the bolt connecting the universal joint shaft and pinion steering gear.
3. Drain the hydraulic drive power steering.
4. Disconnect pressure and return hoses from the steering gear housing.
5. Remove the crankcase bolts steering transfer.
6. Remove the back support of the engine.
7. Remove the stabilizer bar.
8. Move the steering gear and get it on the right side of the car.

A warning

When removing the steering gear, be careful not to damage the protective covers.



Check and pre-adjustment before installing

Secure the steering gear in a vise jaws shut with a soft material.

A warning

When attaching the steering gear in a vice wrap steering transfer cloth and take care not to damage it during compression vise.



Pre-load gear

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Measure the preload by turning pinion special tool 09565-11100 per revolution every 4-6 seconds. Also measure the force trigger rack.


Full pre-load gear: 0.6-1.3 N ??? m.


A warning

Measure the preload for the full course of pinion steering gear.


2. If pre-load does not meet the required values, first of all, adjust the torque of the plug and re-check the preload of the gear.
3. If the adjustment torque cork does not give positive results, test or replace the body of the stopper.

Resistance deviation steering rod

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Take 10 variations of steering draft.
2. dynamometer to measure the force that must be applied to deflect the steering rod.

The force deflection steering rod: 2-5 h

3. If the measured value exceeds the nominal value, replace the tie rod.

A warning

If the measured value is lower than the nominal value and the steering rod rotates smoothly and without play, it can be installed on the vehicle. However, if the measured value is less than 4.3 N, replace the tie rod.



Check corrugated protective cover

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Visually inspect the corrugated protective cover for damage and deterioration of its properties.
2. Ensure that the protective cover is installed in the correct position.
3. If the corrugated protective cover is defective, replace it.

Dismantling

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the tie rod end from steering draft.
2. Blade screwdriver, remove the protective cover of the spherical rod end.
3. Remove the clamp corrugated protective cover.
4. Remove the clamp fastening corrugated protective cover.
5. Move the corrugated protective cover to the steering rod.

A warning

When replacing the corrugated protective cover, check for rust on the steering gear.


6. Remove the guide tube from the crankcase pinion.
7. In slow moving rack drain the crankcase steering transfer.
8. Remove the plug.
9. pinion rotated clockwise to block the rack, remove the self-locking nut.
10. chisels bend the lock washer located between traction and steering rack.
11. Remove the steering rod from the rack.

A warning

When removing the steering rod, be careful not to turn the rack.


12. Remove the lock nut securing the plug.
13. The special tool 09565-21100 remove the plug.
14. Remove the spring, the focus and the plug housing with the steering transmission.
15. Remove the two screws and remove the valve body.
16. Blade screwdriver to turn the rack stopper clockwise until the end of the locking ring comes out of the slot in the crankcase steering transfer.
17. When the end of the retaining ring out of the housing bore of the cylinder rack, blade screwdriver to turn the lock steering gear counter-clockwise and remove the retaining ring.
18. Remove the rack stopper, sleeve and rack of the steering gear housing, moving them to the side gears.

A warning

After removing the steering gear be sure to replace the O-ring side crankcase.


19. Remove the O-ring from the sleeve of the rack.
20. Remove the O-ring from the sleeve of the rack.
21. plastic hammer, remove the valve body from its housing.
22. The special tool 09565-21000 remove the oil seal and the ball bearing from the valve body.
23. Remove the ball bearing from the crankcase pinion.

A warning

Be careful not to damage the cylinder valve in the crankcase steering transfer.


24. Remove the needle bearing from the crankcase steering transfer.
25. SPECIAL TOOLS 09573-21200, 09555-21000, remove the washer and reverse oil seal from the crankcase steering transfer.

A warning

Be careful not to damage the cylinder rack in the gear housing.



Check the rack

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check the rack teeth for damage or wear.
2. Check the contact surface of the oil seal for damage.
3. Check the rack to the absence of deflection or twisting.
4. Check O-ring for damage or wear.
5. Check the oil seal for damage or wear.

Check valve gear

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check the valve gear teeth for damage or wear.
2. Check the contact surface of the oil seal for damage.
3. Check o-ring for damage or wear.
4. Check the oil seal for damage or wear.

Checking Bearing

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check the bearing on absence of jamming or abnormal noise during rotation.
2. Make sure there is no excessive bearing play.
3. Check for needle bearing.

The rest of the test

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check the cylinder crankcase steering gear for damage.
2. Check the dust cover for damage, aging and cracking.

Assembly

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Grease the sliding surface of the oil seal rack.

Recommended lubrication: fluid for the power steering type 3

2. Reinstall the washer and oil seal in the steering gear housing to the position shown in the figure.
3. Apply grease to the entire surface of the needle bearing.

Recommended lubricant: SAE J310, NLGI ?��2

4. Attach the needle bearing on the special tool 09432-21600 and insert it into the steering gear housing until it touches the instrument housing.

A warning

Pay attention to the installation direction of the needle bearing.


5. Lubricate the ball bearing and the special tool 09222-21100 install it.

Recommended lubricant: SAE J310, NLGI ?��2

A warning

Always use a new bearing.


6. Coat the surface of the oil seal sleeve rack.

Recommended lubrication: fluid for the power steering type 3

7. Install the oil seal into the hub of the rack.
8. Lubricate the O-ring and install it into the hub of the rack.
9. Grease the teeth of the rack and wrap it with tape.

Recommended lubricant: SAE J310, NLGI ?��2


A warning

Do not block the vent hole in the grease rack.


10. Place the rack in the steering gear housing. Then, install the plug and stop the rack.
11. Press the stop of the rack until the groove and turning the lock, install the snap ring.

A warning

Retaining ring should not be visible through the opening in the housing rack.


12. The special tool 09432-21600 install oil seal and ball bearing into the valve body.
13. Apply oil and grease recommended by the valve assembly and place it in the steering gear housing.

Recommended oil: PSF-3
Recommended lubricant: SAE J310, NLGI ?��2

14. Lubricate and install the special tool 09434-14200 seal into the valve body.
15. Install the valve body with O-ring in the steering gear housing.
16. Install the lock washer and the tie rod and two sites stake the shoulder washer.

A warning

Align the antennae lock washer with the slots on the crankcase steering transfer.
Always use a new retainer.


17. gear, turned fully clockwise to tighten the self-locking nut.
18. Apply sealant to the threaded portion of the plug and tighten the plug to torque.

Torque: 50-70 N ??? m

19. stake the plug at two places along its circumference.
20. Install the sleeve, and a spring emphasis in the order shown in the figure. Before installing, apply sealant to the threaded part of the stopper.
21. Place the rack in the center position and set the cover on the steering gear housing. The special tool 09565-21100 tighten the cap torque of 20-25 N ??? m. Loosen the lid 10 ?� and tighten the lock nut tightening torque.
22. Tighten the guide tube the desired torque and set the adhesive rubber member.

Torque: 50-70 N ??? m

23. Lubricate the corrugated protective cover and place it in the groove of steering draft.
24. Secure the collar pleated protective cover.

A warning

For fastening corrugated protective cover must use the new clamp and clamp.


25. Check that the corrugated protective cover is not twisted.
26. Fill in the protective cover of lubricant, place it on a spherical rod end and tighten the locking ring.
27. Install the tie rods in such a way that the length of the left and right track rod was the same.

The length of the track rod: 185,2 ?� 1 mm

28. Check the pre-load gear.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Place the rubber mount steering transfer so that it is aligned with the holes in the clamp bracket and steering gear.
2. Apply the adhesive side of the cylinder in the place of installation of rubber bearings so that its part of the split were not disclosed.
3. Check for fluid leaks.
4. Check that the steering wheel turns smoothly.
5. Adjust the toe-in of the front wheels.
6. Install the remaining parts to the required torque.
