Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the front wheel.
2. Remove the bolt connecting the universal joint shaft and pinion steering gear.
3. Remove the cotter pin and loosen the nuts pins of spherical hinges of tips of steering drafts in rotary fists. Puller 09568-31000 squeeze pins of spherical rod ends to the steering knuckle.
4. Remove the rear engine mounting.
5. Turn out bolts and remove an arm of fastening of steering transfer.
6. Move the steering gear and get it on the right side of the car.

Dismantling

Before disassembly, measure the time required for the crank shaft pinion steering gear in the middle position of the rack.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clean the steering gear and secure in the grip jaws shut with a soft material.

A warning

When attaching the steering gear in a vice wrap steering transfer cloth and take care not to damage it during compression vise.

2. Remove the steering rod.
3. Remove the lock nut plugs.
4. The special tool 09565-21100 remove the plug.
5. Remove the spring, the rubber gasket, and stop.
6. Remove the protective cover.
7. Remove the sealing ring from the crankcase steering transfer.
8. Remove the retaining ring from the crankcase and remove the steering gear pinion together with the bearing.
9. Remove the retaining ring from the gear cover bearing assembly.
10. The special tool 09565-21000 remove the bearing from the pinion.
11. Remove the protective cover.
12. Using a chisel, remove the nut on the right-hand track rod.
13. Move the rack all the way to the transmission crankcase and secure the rack in a vise jaws shut with a soft material. Loosen and remove the tie rod from the steering gear.
14. Remove the rack from the crankcase steering gear after removing the gear.

A warning

To avoid damage to the teeth of the rack reach for it on the left side.

Check

Check the steering transfer elements in the areas shown in the figure.

Assembly

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before assembly, clean all parts in a solvent.
2. The special tool 09432-22000 press-fit bearings into gear.
3. Install the snap ring on the pinion.
4. Grease the rack, pinion, hub, bearings and other sliding surface.

Recommended lubricant: SAE J310a, NLGI ?2

A warning

Do not lock the lubricant air duct in the sleeve housing.

5. After installing the rack in the steering gear housing, set in the hole gear by aligning it with the rack.

A warning

Make sure the rack is inserted into the steering gear housing on the left side.
Wipe off excess lubricant.

6. Select and install the appropriate type of locking ring to minimize backlash in the axial direction of the gear.
7. Before installing the O-ring grease his lip.

A warning

When installing, use a new sealing ring.

8. Install the palm, rubber seal and spring.

A warning

Lubricate the cupped part of the fence.

9. The special tool 09565-21000 screw cap.
Tighten the plug to 11 N ??? m, and then tighten to an angle of 30 ? -60 ?. Secure the position of the stopper nut.

Tightening torque lock nuts: 50-70 N ??? m

A warning

Adjust the position of the cork with the steering transmission in the neutral position.
Apply a layer of sealant between the locknut and the crankcase steering transfer.

10. Install the tie rod end and a protective cover. Secure cover new collars.
11. Measure the preload with a protective cover and lubricant by turning the special tool 09565-11100 gear one revolution every 4-6 seconds. Also measure the force trigger rack.

Full pre-load gear:
? 180 ? or less from the neutral position: 0.4-1.1 N ??? m
? 180 ? or more from the neutral position: 0.3-1.6 N ??? m
Starting effort rack: 50-300 H

A warning

Preload gear to be measured over the entire stroke length of the steering gear.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Install the rubber grommet on the steering gear as shown.
2. Install the gear engaged and the steering gear and pinion assembly to the cross beam.

A warning

Make sure when installing the steering gear and pinion are not distorted or damaged. Be careful not to over-tighten the connection torque, as it warps the steering gear and pinion and increases steering effort.

3. Tighten the connecting bolt.

Torque: 15-20 N ??? m

4. Secure the tie rods to the knuckle.

Tightening torque nuts pin of the spherical hinge of steering draft: 16-34 N ??? m

A warning

Align the groove nut with a hole for the pin and tighten the nut torque.

5. Adjust the wheel alignment.
6. Ensure that the protective cover is not twisted and fix its collar.
