Control lamps direction indicators

On the instrument panel will flash green arrow indicating the direction of rotation. If the arrow comes on but does not blink, blinks more than usual, or does not illuminate at all, it indicates a fault circuit indicator lamps.

The MIL-lock brake system (ABS)

After turning the ignition key to the "ON" (On.) Lights up the MIL-lock brake system (ABS SRI) and then goes out after a few seconds.

If this light remains on, comes on while driving, or does not light up after the ignition key is turned to "ON" (On.), It indicates a fault in the anti-lock brake system (ABS).

If this happens, you will need as soon as possible address to the Hyundai dealer to check the car. The standard braking system will continue to work, but without the aid of anti-lock brake system (ABS).

The control lamp of inclusion of headlights

This warning light illuminates when the headlight of headlights.

The warning lamp on the alarm not wearing seat belts

This warning light illuminates when the ignition key is turned from the position "LOCK" (Lock) to "ON" (On.) Or "START" (starter) and stays on until your seatbelt fastened will not.

The control lamp of pressure of oil

A warning

Movement at a low engine oil or burning oil pressure warning lamp may cause damage to the engine (scuffing, seizure, etc.). If this lamp is lit when the engine is running, which means that engine oil pressure is below the minimum allowable value. In good condition, this lamp lights up when you turn the ignition key to the "ON" ("On") and goes out after starting the engine. If the light stays on after the engine is started, there is a serious engine fault. In this case, immediately stop the vehicle in a safe location, shut off the engine and check the oil level. If the oil level is below the minimum allowable value, add oil to the engine to a normal level and start the engine again. If the light stays on after the engine starts, turn it off immediately. In all cases, when the oil pressure warning lamp stays on after the engine starts, contact the nearest authorized dealer of Hyundai, before using a car.

Control lamp of parking brake / emergency brake fluid level

Control lamp of parking brake / emergency brake fluid level should light up when the parking brake and turn the ignition key to the "ON" (On.) Or "START" (Starter). When switched off, the parking brake lamp should go out after starting the engine. When the parking brake is off, the control lamp of parking brake / emergency brake fluid level should illuminate when the ignition key to the "ON" (On.) Or "START" (starter) and off after the engine starts. If this lamp illuminates at any other time, you must reduce the vehicle speed and fully to stop on the roadside in a safe place. Brake System Warning Light indicates that the brake fluid level in the reservoir of the hydraulic brake system has fallen below the minimum level and the need to top up the brake fluid type DOT3 or DOT4. After adding brake fluid, if you do not detect any faults, you must immediately give the car Hyundai dealer for inspection. If there are any malfunctions of brake system, the movement of a car is unacceptable and must be delivered to test Hyundai dealer, using a professional towing service.

Hyundai car is equipped with dual-diagonal braking system. This means that even in the event of damage to one of the brake circuits, you will be able to be used for braking two wheels. In this case, to stop the car to spend more effort on the brake pedal and a larger brake pedal. Moreover, stopping distances will be increased.

In the event of failure of one of the brake circuits, switch down a gear to use engine braking effect to stop the car.

The warning lamp battery discharge

The lamp lights up when the ignition switch is in the "ON" ("On") and goes out after starting the engine. If the warning light stays on after the engine starts, in the charging system has a fault.

If the warning light comes on while driving, stop the vehicle immediately and check the condition and tension of the alternator drive belt. Then, contact an authorized dealer of Hyundai to check the charging system.

The control lamp of a reserve of fuel

The lamp comes on when the fuel level in the tank reaches the minimum reserve value. If the lamp is lit, it indicates the need for refueling. The movement of the vehicle when burning fuel reserve warning lamp or when the fuel level is below the "E" (Empty) can lead to misfire and damage the catalytic converter.

The MIL Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) (SRI)

The warning lamp (SRI) lights up and flashes for 6 seconds after the ignition key is turned to "ON" (On.) Or after the engine is started, then goes out.

The warning lamp also lights up in case of malfunction of additional system of passive safety (SRS). If the warning light (SRI) does not light up or continues to constantly lit after blinking for approximately 6 c after the ignition key is turned to "ON" (On.), Or lights up while driving, give the car dealer Hyundai to check an additional system of passive safety (SRS).

Sound the alarm about the brake pad wear

Front brake pads have a wear indicator, which when worn brake pads gives off an unpleasant squealing sound to indicate that it is necessary to replace the front brake pads. While driving the car the sound may come and go or be constant. It can also be heard at stronger pressure on the brake pedal. In the case of driving with worn brake pads, you can damage the expensive brake disk.

Engine warning light (MIL)

The lamp lights up when a fault is detected components related to systems reduce emissions. The lamp lights up when the ignition key is turned to "ON" ("On") and then, after a few seconds, it will go off. If the lamp lights while driving, or does not light up after the ignition key is turned to "ON" ("On"), give the car the nearest official dealer Hyundai to check systems.
